(18 holes tee off at 3:00…9 holes tee off at 4:00)

Awards and a dinner will follow Monday’s play for players and their parents


** Please note:  A $20 Registration Fee is required per child for the league

***Number of players is limited to those that qualify***

Divisions:                                                                   

Age 10-11        9 holes from Jr. tees

Age 12-13        9 holes from red tees

Age 14-15        18 holes from white tees                   

Age 16-17        18 holes from blue tees                     

 *9:00 Tee time for all age divisions

 There will be a winner and a runner up in each division.

All ties will be played off on scorecard.

 

The Deadline for entry into any tournament will be the WEDNESDAY before the event.

If you DO NOT sign up you will NOT be allowed to participate….

AND if you sign up, SHOW UP!

(“no shows” will not be allowed to participate the rest of the season)

 We welcome adults willing to give their time to help with instruction.

Adults are also needed for transportation to and from tournaments and supervision of younger players during the tournaments. If you are willing to help, please contact Karen (828) 428-8063 or Beth (828) 428-2451, ext. 3.

 

 

 

Junior Golf Program

GLEN OAKS IS A MEMBER OF THE CATAWBA VALLEY JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION. OTHER COURSES INVOLVED IN THIS LEAGUE ARE: ROCK BARN, CATAWBA, LINCOLNTON, LAKE HICKORY, HAMPTON HEIGHTS AND BRUSHY MOUNTAIN.

OUR 2008 JUNIOR GOLF SCHEDULE WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE END OF MARCH. PLEASE CHECK BACK WITH US. WE PROVIDE INSTRUCTION FOR THE FIRST 8 WEEKS, THEN THE JUNIORS HAVE APPROXIMATELY 7 MATCHES (WE PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION, BUT ANY PARENT DRIVERS ARE APPRECIATED, AS YOU CAN GO WITH YOUR CHILDS GROUP AND WATCH/KEEP SCORE), AND THE JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP.

WE MONITOR EACH GROUP, GIVING THEM WATER AND CRACKERS, WITH DONATIONS GIVEN TO US THROUGH THE YEAR. ALL OF OUR JUNIORS WEAR COLLARED SHIRTS THAT THE PARENTS PAY HALF OF UPON SIGNING UP FOR JR. GOLF (WE PICK UP THE OTHER HALF).

PLEASE LOOK OVER THE PAPERS AND CALL IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, WISH TO SIGN YOUR CHILD UP OR WOULD LIKE TO DONATE YOUR TIME TO A WORTHY CAUSE.

JUNIOR GOLF MEMBERSHIPS

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 12-17. MEMBERSHIP RUNS FROM MAY 1 THRU SEPTEMBER 1 AND INCLUDES GOLF AND POOL BENEFITS. JUNIOR MEMBERS MUST GO THROUGH OUR JUNIOR PROGRAM. FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE CALL THE PRO SHOP AT (828) 428-2451.
